The warm up matches are done & dusted, the qualifiers has been decided, Now It’s time for the main event. The World Cup T-20 2016 starts from tomorrow, and the excitement is  sky high. The Tournament starts tomorrow at Nagpur where India face NewZeland in the opening match. Just like the previous edition of the tournament this edition will also see many records being shattered & many new being created. Let’s have a look at 5 records that could be shattered in this world cup

1) First Bowler to take 100 T20Is Wickets

Shahid Afridi can become the first bowler ever in the T20 international to pick 100 wickets, Currently he is at 93 wickets 7 short of taking his tally to 100. And looking at his current form it won’t be a big surprise to see him get there. While he certainly is not having a great time in batting or even captaincy, his performance as a bowler continue to impress everybody, In the recently concluded Asia Cup he bowled with an economy of just around 6.

Record

2)Most Consecutive T20I Wins

The present record for most consecutive wins in T20I Is jointly shared by Ireland and England with 8 wins in their kitty. And the record can be broken by India who currently are unbeaten in the last 7 matches. If they manage to win against New Zealand tomorrow they would tie the record and they can create a new record if they keep up their regular custom of beating Pakistan at world cup they would create a new record for most wins in T20I.

Records

3) Most No of T20I Six by a batsmen

When Mccullum retired early this year not only did he left behind a lot of great Cricket memories but also a slew of records some of which would be not broken easily. One such record is the most T20I six, currently he still holds the record with 91 sixes but that could be broken this time. And the person who could do it is Chris Gayle who is currently on 87 sixes , and for a person who averages around 2 sixes per match hitting 4 isn’t a big deal and we might even see him break this record in the very first match that he plays.

4) Most no of half-century by a batsmen in World T20I

The current record is held by the windies power-hitter Chris Gayle who currently holds the record with 7 50’s under his belt. And as he is currently playing in this edition of the world cup he might increase that number Further. But the players who can overtake him are Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma (Both have 6 50’s). And they have the chance of equaling his record tomorrow when they face New Zealand. Shane watson (5) and AB De Villiers (4) can also break the record if they have a great series.

T20 World Cup

5)Fastest 50 and Fastest Hundred

Well this is the  records that all that everyone would like to see broken. The current is Record is held by Yuvraj Singh & AB De Villiers Respectively. No one can predict who will break this record but with the most of the  matches being played in the flat pitches , This are the records that could be broken and we would personally like it to happen.
