India vs Sri Lanka- 5 Crucial Match point

Yesterday India Beat Sri Lanka by 5 wickets to progress to the Final of the Asia cup 2016.  We have a look at 5 crucial  Match Points of yesterday match and also what the team can do to improve for the upcoming T20 World cup.

India Sri Lanka1.) Yuvraj Singh innings – One of the biggest positive for India was undoubtedly Yuvraj Singh innings. His knock came at a crucial time for both India as well as him, as not only it helped India to win but also would heaps of wonder for his own confidence, after a mediocre performance in the previous 2 innings, Yuvraj finally came good and the his  18-ball 35 would shut his critics for some time at least.

2.)Pandya’s ability to take Crucial Wickets –  One more positive that India can take not only from yesterday’s match but whole tournament is Pandya’s ability to take crucial breakthroughs. He is turning out to be a good partnership breaker option for Dhoni to use. In Yesterday match also just as Mathews was looking dangerous, Pandya got his wicket. Plus considering his ability to hit big shots, he is an important member of this team and India would be hoping that he takes this form in the world cup as well.

3.)Nehra’s Early Strike – In the Three matches that India played one thing that was common across all of them was Nehra’s Early Wicket, Since his return to the T20 squad in January Nehra has struck early in his first spell in 5 out of 8 occasions. And not only that his overall bowling has been pretty impressive.

4.) Kohli’s Form continues – Virat Kohli has been on fire in the recent series against both Australia and Sri Lanka and he continues his good form in the Asia cup as well. In yesterday’s match also Kohli hit a Half Century and played till the end to take India home in the run chase.

5.)Opening partnership –  If one thing that India would look to improve quickly it would be their Opening partnership, so far in the three matches India  Haven’t had a single decent opening stand. As India has already reached the final of the tournament we may see India trying something new in their next match against UAE especially as far as the opening pair is considered.
