1)Chris Morris Blistering Innings.
Chris Morris played one of the best T20 innings in recent memory as he smacked 82 runs of 32 balls. Chasing Gujarat total of 172 runs Delhi had the worst Possible start and were soon 4 down with just 57 runs on the board and it looked like Gujarat were heading to a big and convincing win, but in walked Chris Morris and changed the tide, as he smacked 4 fours and 8 sixes to take Delhi to within touching distance of the target. His counter attack Kept Delhi in contention till the very last ball were they required 4 runs of 1 ball but morris could manage just 2 and Delhi ended up Losing the match.
2) Praveen Kumar Brilliant Spell –
In the same match When Morris was tearing every other bowler apart a brilliant spell of bowling by Praveen Kumar ensured that Gujarat Lions win the match.Though he didn’t pick up any wicket he conceded just 13 of his 4 overs. Plus he bowled a gem of a over in the 19th over of the match as he conceded just 4 runs.
3) Steve Smith Brilliant Ton
A fantastic innings by a fantastic player that is what this innings was. Steve Smith played a class innings against Gujarat Lions to score his maiden T20 century. He smashed 101 runs of 54 balls and his innings included 8 four’s and 5 maximums and he took every bowlers to the cleaners. His Innings helped the Rising Pune Supergaints to score a mammoth total of 195 runs on the board.
4) Shivil Kaushik – The Lad with a unique action
He was an relatively unknown face before the match against Pune supergaints (his IPL Debut match). But the lad immediately stepped into the limelight not with is performance but with his unique action. Despite having a bad match he still features in this list because it’s not everyday u see a guy bowling while looking in the direction of mid-wicket. In the three overs he bowled he conceded 32 runs without picking any wickets.
5)Incredible Chase by the Gujarat Lions
This match was one of the best till date and the main reason along with smith hundred was the brilliant chase by Gujarat lions as they managed to chase the mammoth target of 196 runs. It started with an incredible opening partnership between the formidable pair of McCullum and Smith as they put on a opening stand of 93 runs. After that Kartik and raina anchored the innings perfectly to take them close. Despite a brilliant fight back by pune in the last three overs they still managed to get the win with Faulkner scoring the winning runs.
