Wales Fairytale dream continues – Wales into the semis of Euro 2016

Wales gave a superb performance to come from behind and Beat Belgium 3-1 to qualify for the semis of Euro 2016. Wales who are playing the European Championship for the first time ever, Continued their dream run and will now play Portugal In the Semi final of Euro 2016.

In  an exciting match played at Lille Belgium started the match well applying pressure right from the word Go and were extremely unlucky in the 7th Minute of the match to not score a goal after couple of shots were blocked and saved including a goal line clearance. But they finally got their reward in the 12th minute of the game as Nainggolan scored an absolute stunner of a goal, Picking up the ball outside the box he made space from himself and fired a brilliant shot right in the top corner.

Wales after the initial jitters slowly stared to rebuild and were attacking more dangerously after the goal and they leveled the score in the 3oth minute of the game as Ashley Williams scored a thumping header from a corner kick. In the second half wales Belgium started brightly but were soon behind thanks to brilliant goal by Robson-Kanu, He picked up a low cross from Ramsey and took a  brilliant turn which beat 3 defenders before firing in a shot past Courtois.

Any hope of a comeback by Belgium was dashed when Vokes got the third goal for Wales taking their supporters into dreamland. The only thing that made them sad was a yellow card to Ramsey which means he will miss the Semi final against Portugal.

Here is what the winning captain had to say about the match

I’m pleased (to score a goal). I’m more pleased we got through. I don’t score many goals.

“It’s hard to take in at the minute. I think we responded well.

“We were ever so pleased to get here, and then get out of the group. I don’t know what it means until I go home tonight and take it all in.

“We’re not looking that far yet. We’ve got a difficult game to come.”
