NOVAK DJOKOVIC THRASHES DOMINIC THIEM TO REACH FINAL IN ROME

Novak Djokovic is through to the Italian Open final after losing just one game against Dominic Thiem  6-1, 6-0 in Rome.

In previous match Novak beaten Juan Martin del Potro and it was perfect day for Novak, he followed up a 20-shot rally in the first point to emphatically take the first set. It was Novak best performance of the season today.

Djokovic won the Doha title in January but has struggled since then and dropped his coach and support staff.

Dominic Thiem who enter in semifinal after memorable win against Nadal. Didn’t managed to produce the same result in this match. He finished first set with seven unforced errors.

Speaking afterwards Djokovic said that the game was his “Best by far, obviously,” of 2017

“The closest I got to this level was the final against Andy (Murray) in Doha in the first week of the season (which Djokovic won). Otherwise, I’ve been struggling to find the right level and be consistent,” Djokovic added.

Alexander Zverev

Djokovic will meet Alexander Zverev, 20, in Sunday’s final after the German beat John Isner 6-4 6-7 (5-7) 6-1. Alexander Zverev will play first time against Djokovic.  Zverev 20 year old becomes the youngest Masters finalist
