Controversy over French open 2020 tournament schedule

Plans to postpone French Grand Slam tennis tournaments have sparked controversy over a plan to hold an American Grand slam tennis tournament, but wealthy tennis players have opposed it.

The French Grand slam tennis tournament, due to be held in May, was announced from September 20 to October 4 because of COVID-19. However, the dates are one week after the conclusion of the US Open Grand Slam tennis tournament, held from August 24 to September 13. The Laver Cup tennis tournament will be held in Boston, USA. Top players like Roger Federer from Switzerland will be participating.

New dates of French Grand slam tennis tournament has announced during the schedule of Laver  Cup tennis tournament. Without discussion organizers or French open tennis tournament have proposed new dates have criticized from all the level. Meanwhile, the Professional Men’s Tennis Association (ATP) and Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournaments have already canceled all scheduled April and May.

Organizer of the American Open Tennis Tournament have not given such a decision. “It is not yet a matter of postponing American open tennis tournaments because of Corona,” the American Tennis Association said.

Naomi Osaka of Japan, two Grand Slam winners, has expressed her displeasure over postponing the competition.
