In the twisting final, here in Rome, Simona won first set of the match with ankle injury which suffered her in remaining games. But also, Svitolina played tactical tennis here against Simona changes in the game plan in second and third set work for her she finished the match 6-4,5-7,1-6.

With this title win, Svitolina leads the tour with four titles (Taipei, Dubai, Istanbul, and Rome). Monday Svitolina will return in top 10 WTA rankings. No one has scored more top 5 wins than Svitolina over last two seasons. This week she beat both Karolina Pliskova and Halep.
Women’s double titles Martina Hingis and Chan Yung-Jan emerged as the winner of the women’s doubles. Hingis- Chan beaten Makarova- Vesnina duo in the final 5-7, 6(4)-7(7). Hingis- Chan duo beaten Sania Mirza– Shvedova in Semi-finals.
